„For me, good beekeeping means working in harmony with the bees and their natural rhythm.“
Bobu Lucian | Romania

In the Iași region in north-eastern Romania, Lucian Bobu and his family are dedicated to beekeeping. What once began as a deep desire to work independently and in harmony with nature has now become their life’s work. Every day, the family works hand in hand, sharing the responsibility and taking care of their approximately 320 bee colonies. For the Bobu family, beekeeping is more than just a profession. It is a conscious way of life – a life that is characterised by consistency, profound observation skills, and trust in nature.

Romania’s varied landscape, with its rural areas, vast fields and dense forests, provides the bees with an ideal source of food. In order to provide his colonies with the best possible conditions, Lucian Bobu attentively accompanies them on their journeys during the major flowering periods of acacia, linden and sunflower. This so-called migratory beekeeping requires a great deal of intuition in order for the bees to settle in quickly at each new location. Through his work, Lucian lovingly captures the aromas of each bloom, thereby creating a harmonious honey for you to enjoy.

„In my view, being a beekeeper means taking responsibility and living in harmony with the cycles of nature.“
